Position Summary

Our Technical Infrastructure team is looking for an Information Technology Support Manager with education and experience building, managing and supporting the IT infrastructure required to support the amazing growth of Athenium Analytics. The successful candidate will have some background in Windows and Mac support, Office 365 administration, network equipment and the security aspects involved in protecting our and our customers’ data.

Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the Technology management team:

  • Install new and upgrade software
  • Provide systems and hardware support for in-house and remote users
  • Windows domain administration
  • Establish and maintain network and information security practices and policies
  • Oversee disaster and recovery plans
  • Create activity logs for upgrades and maintenance
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, System Administration or equivalent; and 2+ years IT support experience
  • Demonstrated work experience with basic systems and network administration
  • In-depth knowledge of underlying web and network technologies (e.g. HTTP, SSL, DNS, etc.)
  • Experience building out and managing various systems monitoring tools, including anti-virus/anti-malware deployment and administration
  • Proficiency in one or more of the scripting languages such as bash, sh, perl, Python etc.
  • A proven awareness of security considerations and tools used in monitoring and preventing misuse of company assets and data loss

Skills and Competencies (Preferred)

  • Customer service skills; makes employees comfortable with reporting problems
  • Attention to detail, with good documentation practices for logging, security and purchasing
  • Savvy troubleshooting ability with a solution-oriented approach to problems, taking into account organizational considerations
  • Experience with Cisco/F5/Firepower
  • Great multitasker, as there will always be multiple issues at any given time
  • Works well in a team-oriented atmosphere, and at – a software company which has a lot of systems talent with their own institutional knowledge
  • Highly organized, with the ability to support employees split between three offices, including some fully remote
  • Ability to educate and explain to individuals simple IT problems and their solutions
